Secluded Gardens first opened in Montgomery
County Pennsylvania under the name of Unique
Expressions in 1997 by owner Bonnie Watton. In
addition to landscape design, Unique Expressions
offered creative arts classes, estate maintenance
and gardening & designing lectures. Within the
first year, the landscape design portion of the
business began to grow and we eliminated the
estate maintenance. Over the years the company
has continued to grow and change. In 2000, we
streamlined our objectives and concentrated solely
on landscape design. Since that time we have
established solid relationships with various
landscape contractors for installation of our
designs.

Bonnie Watton is the owner of Secluded Gardens.
When she entered Temple University in her late
twenty's, Bonnie decided to combine her two great
loves, artwork and gardening. Landscape design
seemed to be the perfect niche for these two talents.
Garden design not only includes being outdoors but
also requires drafting, drawing, photography and
working with color.
In addition to landscape designing, Bonnie creates
works of art using pressed plant material. All the plant
material is personally gathered and pressed locally.
No threatened or endangered plant material is used
by Secluded Gardens. As we spend more time
focusing on garden design, we have had less time to
pursue this line of work.
